Sometimes that is how I feel about the field I'm in. My class executed a press conference today and I can tell you, on one level I was excited to see it come together but on the another level every mistake big or small was just so glaringly obvious to me I nearly felt like a heart attack was upon me.

Although it was a class assignment and there were 23 other people working alongside me on this project and I was the leader of one team and not the overall project, I feel so passionate about event management that I take it extremely seriously.
I'm not really a perfectionist, because I understand that mistake can happen or unexpected events can occur, but there is nothing wrong with having a plan, double, triple or quadruple checking your plan. I don't believe you can ever be to prepared for anything.
I feel for my boyfriend sometimes, he has a PF (personal finance) blog, what I call being prepared I think he thinks makes me paranoid, because I can become increasingly obsessive with the details sometimes.
My love for this field is so...I don't know what it is, but I think I'm one of those few people who would enjoy being in the same job for my entire life provided its the field I'm interested in.
However as we all know, there is a thin line between love and hate, and my field has the tendency to tiptoe over that line every once in a while, but at the end of the day...it just awesome to have experienced the roller coaster ride.
Quality events don't just happen, they are created. Some things will go accordingly, others will require extra work but at the end of the day seeing it all come together makes the headache worth the trouble.

Picture from a Valentines Day lounge organized by myself and a classmate, we organized a raffle, a Mr. Cupid to deliver roses and chocolates to the ladies on campus, there was jewelry and cake on sale, complete with areas for people to simply lounge.
I love event management, there really is no field like it. Possibilities are endless whenever creativity is involved, my goal in life is to provide persons with a quality event regardless of budget. So if its $50, $10,000 or higher people should be able to enjoy their event and want to have the memories for it.

Everything is a learning experience. You tried your best and you put your all into it. When it's your company, you will need to handpick the best people for your team.
